I wasn't sure I needed a dietician when my doctor suggested Sensibly Sprouted, but I am so glad that I tried it out. I look at food in a whole new way. I am enjoying food more than in the past, have more energy, and have lost 30 lbs in the process! Thanks Colton for being my teacher and encourager!

I heartily recommend this practice. I had been trying to follow a FODMAP diet on my own to treat my IBS, with some success. But getting the support of dietitians at Sensibly Sprouted was a real game changer. They listened carefully and made wonderful suggestions. I now know what I need to do to keep my digestive symptoms under control.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank a member of Simply Sprouted.My health journey has been a complexing one at times. Ranging from fatigue to body aches. As a former bodybuilder, I’ve always taken care of my body but from an external presentation point of view.As time passed, my body changed gears. It readjusted to my life post-bodybuilding. Things began to change internally however.I downshifted and the need to focus in a new direction was clear. Everyone’s body reacts different, that’s a fact.It became more evident as my body aged. Time has a funny way of doing this.I came to sensibly sprouted with half expectations on answers.I was partnered up with Miranda Eriksen who explained everything in detail to me. Everything from caloric intake, vitamins, crucial nutrients and how my body reacted to everything it took in by following the nutritional labels. It was like a customized eating plan designed for me.The cliché “You are what you eat” became apparent in my body’s pursuit of health.As a result, it had a snowball effect of change. I felt more energetic. I worked out without feeling tired. In addition, my sleep habits improved as well.I have to say that this nutritional journey has been an eye opener. I’ve learned so much about myself and the foods we eat.I would highly recommend this program to anyone that is looking for healthier lifestyle. What you change within, you will change without.

Michelle is simply the best! After deciding to eat a plant based diet, I began meeting regularly with her to help figure this out. She helped educate me to make sure I was getting enough protein and vitamins. We analyzed meals together to help me make well rounded choices. She provided ongoing encouragement and support. My insurance covered the entire cost of this. As a result, I am more healthy. I am so grateful to Michelle for her guidance and a highly recommend her to everyone. My time with her was time well spent.

Michelle has been a huge help my getting Cholesterol & Blood Pressure under control; with a revised (delicious & easy) diet plan & motivational tactics to get my butt off of the sofa & moving! With her encouragement & knowledge I've been able to avoid Statins, loose weight & keep it off And keep my numbers down & feel Better! Grateful for her assistance!

!!Highly recommended!!My health is not about the number on the scale… There are a lot of numbers to watch. Kacey is helping me focus on the ones I need and the ones I don’t, I can let go. My primary care physician recommended Sensibly Sprouted and I have been amazed at the help I receive each week. I’ve been to “nutritionist“ in the past that don’t look at me as an individual. They give me standard information and send me on my way. Had sensibly Sprouted it’s a week by week adjustment. Every forward movement is celebrated no matter how small. Setbacks happen and we work through those together. Most of the time Kacey can point out a direction/reason I hadn’t thought of. Give them a try if you are looking for a more focused/individual look at your dietary/nutritional needs.

**Highly recommend**As a decades-long diabetic, I've seen several dieticians and nutritionists. Michelle is the best by far. She really meets patients where they are and designs a plan that works with each individual. She checks in frequently and spends time looking over and fine-tuning clients' progress during the week. She's available and proactive between appointments to answer questions, make suggestions and give help. Most important: Michelle is upbeat, positive and absolutely supportive - she is completely and unabashedly in your corner - and you know you have a powerful and caring advocate on your team. I'm completely grateful to be her client.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Laura at Sensibly Sprouted has extend my life decades by giving me the knowledge to keep my arteries healthy. The hospital staff was great at fixing the damage, but it was Laura that educated and empowered me to take care of myself. We worked together to find the right combination of nutrition and exercise to keep not only my arteries, but my whole body healthy. I have no doubt that without her guidance I would have slipped back into my old habits. Thank You Laura from the bottom healthy heart!

I really appreciated the opportunity to work with Michelle Smith. I didn't start in particularly rough shape, health-wise, but I had a sense that the next step in being healthier and happier was to be a bit more thoughtful and strategic about what and how I was eating. Michelle was fun to work with, able to adapt to the things that were and weren't helpful for me, and took my own goals and style very seriously.I have slightly-funky insurance and her office staff person was super diligent about getting that all figured out. Thanks to the whole team there!PS- I've met with Michelle both in person and over telemedicine and both were delightful and helpful.

You will love working with Sensibly Sprouted and Michelle! She is an outstanding nutritionist, coach, mentor and she makes it fun along the way. She provided me with the motivation and skills to make a lasting transformation not just with nutrition but with my overall health and well-being. Michelle helped me to transition to a plant-based diet and with her guidance I have lost 25 pounds and still going. With Michelle, it is so much more than simply losing weight. I have been working with Laura for about two months now. I am down 18 lbs. and wearing pants that I haven't been able to wear for quite some time. It's slow and steady and working.I have tried every diet known to man and every time I only gain weight. This time I decided to get coaching for my particular body. I have hypothyroid from Hashimoto's disease. Now I am learning the best foods for my body and healthy eating habits that are tailored to me. I'm trying new foods and finding that I have favorites that I never knew about, AND they are good for me!I like Laura's style of coaching. She is working WITH me. We eat out sometimes and I'm finding that it's okay as long as I take nutrition and calories into account. I have other obstacles yet we find ways to manage them with success at the end of the day. My eyes have truly been opened!If you want a personalized plan, and not some crazy "eat only this or that" type of yoyo diet, then I highly recommend Sensibly Sprouted. It's actually been a fun journey and an awesome adventure.

Choosing a person to work with to achieve your nutritional goals is not something you should do lightly. I spent well over a month researching practitioners in the area before scheduling my first appointment with Michelle; it was time well spent. Michelle's approach to nutrition and overall wellness is delivered in a very human-centered way, and reinforced with science, experience, and evidence. The ability to identify the ways in which the foods I eat directly correlates to how I feel, or how my symptoms do or do not manifest has been the greatest achievement in my complex medical journey. It's not often that you find a wellness provider who is so personable that your appointments become a highlight of your week, but that's exactly what you can expect with Michelle. She took the time to truly learn about my history before making any recommendations. The goals that are set each week are developed collaboratively, not prescriptively. Of all the things I appreciate about Michelle (and there are many), the one that stands out the most is that she is the first provider I've worked with who was able to demonstrate how food directly impacted my mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing in a way that makes complete sense. It's no wonder her practice is called "Sensibly Sprouted".

My blood pressure was going up, I was prediabetic, and had high cholesterol. In two and a half months, I've lost 10lbs and my blood pressure is down. Cholesterol is coming down and I'm no longer pre-diabetic. My doctor wanted to put me on meds and I said I would like to try diet first. This is the first time in my life that I've really dieted and lost weight. I learned so much about healthy eating from Michelle.

Michelle is a gifted nutritionist. Her approach very much addresses the whole of who you are. She combines your goals and dreams with sound nutritional advice, coaching and encouragement to achieve great success. I would highly recommend Sensibly Sprouted for anyone looking to fine-tune their diet/wellness plan or experiencing symptoms related to digestion, diet, or related functions. They made insurance easy by checking coverage before I even scheduled sessions and were able to accommodate my scheduling needs despite working an 8-5 job in a different city. Teletherapy was surprisingly effective even though it is not my first choice for medical appointments and my dietician, Savannah, was kind, thoughtful, and engaged in listening and offering support that aligned with my health and wellness goals as well as fit into my schedule/lifestyle needs. The tools used to track progress were intuitive and explained very well and resources were provided to help deepen my understanding of my dietary needs and how to meet them.I am finding I have more energy, better habits, and more awareness of my wellness and what I can do to support it. Thank you to the whole team at Sensibly Sprouted for helping me find more ease in nutrition and more habits that inspire wellness!

This was a lifestyle changing experience for me! I worked with Kristen to try to decrease A1C (high blood sugar). We met every week and Kristen educated me on many topics about food/body relationship. She also watched all my meals during our outgoing work together for about 4 months and gave me a feedback. I really appreciated her scientific approach. My A1C dropped to a normal range. I will not go to my old habits because now I understand the effects the food has on our bodies and became very conscious of what I eat and how much is enough.

Michelle is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to nutrition. She has truly changed the way I see food. I am so happy with Sensibly Sprouted!! I came for help with blood-sugar issues primarily and the care I am receiving has been amazing. I work with Alex and I could not be happier. She is thrilled with the progress I make, no matter how small. She is attentive, and an excellent listener. I know that my plan is created and tailored just to my needs. Alex and Michelle have researched the best ways to address the issues I carry. They are extremely personable and really love what they do. I highly recommend them. I chose sensibly sprouted because it was in-network with my health benefits. I researched the different dieticians they offer and chose Kristen. I went with Kristen because she believes in small incremental and fundamental changes necessary for each person to meet their induvial and essential health needs or desires. It did take a while for the first appointment to occur, approximately 1 month after I signed up. I decided that it was in my own best interest to start now at that time of sign up, rather than to wait for my first dietician appointment. I did a lot of research beforehand and based off what I learned; I believed that the alkaline diet was best for me. I was very strict on the diet for that month period, before my first appointment with Kristen. I lost 7 pounds during that month, I started at 220 and went down to 213. The initial appointment with Kristen was for her to understand me and my needs. We developed a plan of action about anything that I could improve on and since I was already eating extremely healthily it was not much to be honest. I met Kristen a few times before deciding that I have the tools I need to continue my journey independently. The most important thing that Kirsten taught me was to increase my protein intake which would alleviate my cravings for bad foods (this has always been my problem with eating). Since I was on the alkaline diet and meat is acidic, I made a deal with Kristen that I WILL implement meat into my food while still eating mostly alkaline foods. The increase of protein made a SIGNIFICANT change in the way that I feel and eliminated any cravings for bad food that I had. Other things Kristen taught me were not to go too long in between meals and to include healthy snack options as part of my meal. This decreased the size of my three main meals and made a significant change in my diet – this is something I continue to work on with my extremely busy day. One day I celebrated my wife’s birthday, and I struck a deal with Kristen that I can snack on things such as chips/dip if I load myself with fruits and veggies first. This totally helped me to not binge and overeat unhealthy foods. This is a tool I will continue to use throughout my life! I used to drink sugar free red bull regularly and learned that my stomach essentially has taste buds and sugar free things many times are significantly sweeter than sugar itself and makes your body crave bad food. I quit drinking red bull after learning this. The moral of the story is I didn’t have a lot to work on before coming into the program with Kristen and she was able to pinpoint things I can improve and tools that I can use to increase my healthy journey for life. Thank you, Kristen, for what you taught me! I recommend sensibly sprouted to anyone and make sure to read the profiles of each dietician and choose who you want. If you are undecisive, I recommend Kristen because she would be a beneficial dietician to anyone!

One of the best decisions I have made for my health was to contact Sensibly Sprouted. I have had gastrointestinal issues for most of my life, and after working with Kristen at Sensibly Sprouted, those issues have subsided. From the initial consultation, she has listened to my concerns and developed an individualized plan to help me accomplish my goals. She has provided education, recommendations, recipes, and advice in a positive, nonjudgmental, and caring environment, which has not always been my experience. At CorePhysio, our Board Certified Pelvic Health clinicians work with clients of all ages and genders with pelvic pain and elimination disorders. I have referred a number of clients to Sensibly Sprouted for advanced guidance on dietary changes as part of a multidisciplinary rehab program. SS is fantastic: they match clients to clinicians thoughtfully, are supportive and detailed in their care and coaching, and remain food and body positive for their clients. I spent about six months with Kristen Conner, and what a life changer! I started this process being scared of food, prone to binge eating then restricting, and feeling out of control. Kristen guided me through the science and psychology of food/eating, and was so informative and encouraging. She completely rewired the way I think about food: as a fuel and a tool, not an enemy. Her passion for her clients and for nutritional science was evident in every single one of our sessions. By a month into us meeting, I felt like I had a better handle on how, what and when to eat. I started seeing changes in my body and mental health soon after. Now, being "graduated" from our sessions, I have formed healthy habits, lost weight and gained confidence around eating. Sessions with Kristen, in a way, were like therapy in healing my relationship with food. I'm so proud of myself, and so thankful for her. 10/10 recommend.

To my surprise I really enjoyed my time working with Kristen. It felt like a college course in nutrition, wellness, and self-compassion. I came in with a lot of shame around emotional binge eating. My life felt out of balance and I was completely overwhelmed. I walk away feeling empowered having learned simple, sustainable, and affordable changes. It was a fun and interesting learning process and the opportunity to prioritize myself for the first time ever. My gut health is better now than ever before and I am forever grateful.

Michelle has been such a blessing to my life. I started working with her after receiving a pre-diabetic medical evaluation. After watching family members struggle with Type 2 diabetes, I knew that I needed to make some changes. Michelle has guided me with her knowledge, compassion, and humor back to better health. My cholesterol has dropped, my blood sugars have dropped, and yes, those unwanted pounds have also dropped. I am feeling healthier than I have in years, and I attribute that to Michelle's guidance and expertise.

I worked with Michelle for about a year on controlling my acid reflux and GI upset, and it was extremely helpful. I’ve learned how to eat better both generally and for the sake of controlling my symptoms, and was able to go completely off my stomach meds after just a few months. Highly recommend!
