I have type 2 diabetes and struggle with weight. In the past the dieticians I have seen had to research most questions and were not willing to help with meal planning. My Dr referred me to Simply Sprouted and I am so impressed by their business model and the quality of their employees. They called insurance for me to make sure of coverage and instead of a 2 week process they called the next day! They did an extensive interview and paired me with Olivia. I have had weekly appointments with her for over 4 weeks now. She is absolutely amazing!! She taught me how to count carbs and read labels. The way she explained it and the handouts she shared actually made sense for the first time. She keeps us on track during our appointments, I tend to be chatty and she is excellent at refocusing me without me feeling unheard. She is very supportive and gets genuinely excited when I make good choices. She has helped me review all the supplements I take and helped me save money by educating me on the process. This was the best thing I could have invested in myself on my health journey after having my last baby. Erica was such a pleasure to work with. She guided me in my goals in a gentle manner as well as confronting me with things I needed to change in a way that never seemed intimidating. She helped push me to explore new foods and new ways to prepare them. I learned how to be mindful and really learn how to tune into my body. Some health things I have struggled with for as long as I can remember have resolved itself! I loved how we were able to communicate frequently if needed between appointments whenever I had questions and she responded fairly quickly. I started the process in the Fall of 2022 with Nava. I wanted to eat more of a plant-based diet and wanted to make sure I got all the nutrients my aging body needs.
