Finding balance in nutrition has always been at the forefront of my life. As a young athlete, I was searching for ways to improve my performance and better fuel my body. I tried navigating many different options but my energy level was still running out before games were over. Ultimately, I found that I wasn’t eating enough before games. By putting my focus into proper nourishment and meal timing, I was able to increase my performance and feel stronger while playing.
Through this experience I realized how little quality nutrition education we receive, despite how nutrition decisions play such a huge role in our lives. This is where my interest in dietetics started, and it has continued to grow as I have progressed through my career.
